It started out with the slow strumming of a guitar. Expert fingers danced across the strings sliding up and down, creating a familiar tune. Soon voices from all across the world began to sing. Their sound filled the room with a powerful tremor. Spanish praises flowed into English with the sound of French, German and Portuguese accents all praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Soon the drum joined in,

creating a beat that vibrated the floors and went deep into the soul. Feet began to move as joyful shouts left grateful lips and hands were raised skyward.

Close to two dozen people were gathered together in the small classroom at YWAM Harpenden. Some from lands across the world, others from across the road. It was the second time we had gathered to worship since arriving at the base. Although some names were still being learnt and many were still adjusting to our new surroundings, we all had one important thing in common. We came to learn, grow and serve the Creator.

Sixteen people from all walks of life have moved into house number 9 at the Oval for the July DTS. It was a great surprise for the staff, who were expecting around 5-6 students to apply. As leaders Wendy and Daniel Snell said, God is definitely up to something with this group of DTS students.

There have been a lot of amazing testimonies already about how God gathered together this group of people. From providing last minute needed finances to answering prayers from those seeking direction. It is obvious this is going to be an incredible journey.

This blog will be a testament of the teachings and stories that develop through out the July DTS . We hope that you read the weekly updates to see what God does with this amazing group of people in the coming months.

The passage the leaders, Daniel and Wendy Snell, Sandro and Deborah Cruz, Beth Konrath and Rachel Ayres prayed about for this DTS comes from Ezekiel 37:

37 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”
