On Tuesday outreach officially began with prayer walks around Bormla, the city in which we are staying. Wednesday we did street evangelism and got to talk to people about Jesus which was a struggle because English isn’t as big of a language in our area as we thought. Thursday was our first day working with a local church, Bible Baptist Church, where we began our day helping them clean and prepare literature that they pass out on Saturday outreaches. We finished our day with an evening of fellowship and Bible study aimed towards students. Friday we spent the morning and afternoon off which led to a disastrous run in with the buses. It took us an hour to catch our first bus, and on the return trip after waiting another hour for a bus our bus driver decided that the stop before ours would be his last. He parked the bus and got off leaving the 12 of us to figure out how to find our way home. We ended the week at Bible Baptist Church with both a Sunday morning and Sunday evening service in which we helped out with Sunday School, shared testimonies, and performed skits. All in all week one of Malta was a success.
