The mission of the Africa Field Support Office (AFSO) is “To encourage, equip and assist YWAM’s African leaders to see their God-given visions become reality”. This is done through a combination of field-based training and consultancy; UK-based fundraising and communication; and recruitment of key expatriate staff willing to serve African projects and ministries. The office is currently involved with HIV/AIDS projects, literacy programmes, education projects, street children work and other projects in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Southern Sudan, Congo, Angola and Mozambique.
