School of Reconciliation and Justice (HIS 372)

Come with a Passion…..Leave with a vision
In a world of broken relationships and shattered ideals, Jesus requires strong hands to sow seeds of reconciliation and justice. During this three month school, we will be training with international speakers, researching current issues of conflict, and taking time to seek God’s heart for reconciliation and justice around the world. Then, have the option of 2-3 months commitment putting our new knowledge into practice in an internship program.
Our Goal: Our goal is to train and empower others to a life of reconciliation that flows into peacemaking and justice ministries. We also seek to train teams in order to send them to conflict areas with a mission to reduce suffering, aid in development, speak out about injustice and seek to be a part of healing the hearts of wounded people.

Testimony:
Luke Carey, last year’s intern in Gaza
“The internship gave me the opportunity to put my faith into action. I was stretched and challenged almost every day of my trip and found the whole journey to be inspiring and a time of real growth. The internship was a real opportunity for me to stop talking about issues like peacemaking and injustice and to put into practice the things I had been taught and the things that I knew to be true. I found God revealing himself to me through the situations and the people I met. I learned that the conflicts in our world do not have easy solutions, but I returned from my experience safe in the knowledge that God cares, and that he will use us to bring his way on earth if only we will let Him.”
